since Christmas break ended.
I am currently studying for my finals.

My 2 weeks break is almost coming to an end.
As usual, I am dreading for it to be longer.
Nope, I am not looking forward to it at all :(

For those of you who are wondering how Hachi boy is doing,
here are shots of him, all grown up!

He is doing very well.
Believe me, when we first decided to have a puppy in the house,
we picked out the most quiet and shy one out of the bunch.
Not quite sure if we got the right one :P

Still, he is very spoilt and showered with loads of love.

Taken on his (almost) daily trip to the park.

On another note, the chocolate cake I baked as a gift for a friend's Christmas dinner.
The first one failed, big time as it was our first time attempting silicon molds.
The 2nd one was merely presentable.

After much effort on the icing and decos.
Tadaaa! The Ferrero cake!

I really enjoyed the Christmas evening.
It was very cozy and friendly family dinner.
Since mine is miles and miles away, it was good to feel the closest thing to family love,
after a long time.

Next on, my very first time experiencing Boxing day.
I've always wondered how it would be like being in the midst of all the shopping rush.
Well, sad to say, I am not a big fan of it.
I think its the weather.
It was flaming 30 degrees, Queensland style!

Things to expect,
BIG BIG crowds.
As you can see in the above picture, the crowds surrounding the Ralph Lauren store was indeed the queue.
My brother stood more than 1 hour in the queue before he could pay for his goods.

Same goes to the other stores.

I saw happiness on the faces of those who found a good bargain and frustration on those who found nothing.

One shop was surprisingly empty,
the pet store!

Wanted to get something for Hachi but the price tag stunned us!
AUD$160+ for a decent dog mattress?!

I'll stick to K-Mart's AUD$12.

For merely AUD$10 you can bring your pet rat for a walk in the park (:

I've always knew that summer was hot.
But I'd never imagine it would be THIS hot!
At least 5 times hotter than Malaysia.

The bad news is that there is more than 4 more months of Summer.
The good news is that i have 2 more months here before heading home for 1 month.
I am very much looking forward to that.

Been a long time since i last updated my blog.
I apologize for that.

My second semester has commenced thus leading to me spending most of my time in school, cooking at home, or work.
A little tiring but its okay (:
Have to save up to buy souvenirs!
One of the things I look forward to is nevertheless flying back to Malaysia for my holidays.
I miss the food! And my room.

My life here have been alright.
Rather peaceful actually.
The one thing that is troubling me now is probably the weather.
At 8.00AM in the morning, the temperature can be well over 26 degrees.
The sun is insane as you can literally feel the rays penetrate through your skin.
You can't wear jacket cause it is way too hot and if you don't wear one you ought to be burnt.
Such dilemma, which reminds me, I need to buy sunscreen.
Sigh. I hate summer.

One fine day, Pan cake girl ruined it again,
together with the latest addition to her clan.
She said a series of words that weirded me out.

"I studied English education in Malaysia therefore I am qualified to study in London because I took GCEO."
"I don't want to go to Melbourne because there are so many Malaysians there. Eww. Malaysians. I want to go to somewhere unique. Melbourne is too common."
"I received offer from Queensland University but i didn't want it cause i want to study Nursing."
"The reason why i like Nursing in QUT is because they have cool uniform."

Pancake girl: "I want to study in UQ, it is so much better than QUT."
Girl 1: "UQ is a little more expensive than QUT isn't it?"
Pancake girl: "NOOOO! It is A LOT more expensive than QUT."
New clan: "Yea, it's just AUD$30,000."

Coming to Brisbane has made me realise how lucky am i to be educated Wesley Methodist.
Never in my life have i thought such people exists in this world.
Clearly, i have not seen enough.
I would have died of high blood pressure if I were to spend 5 years of my life surrounded by individuals with such mentality.
I've got 1 more semester to go. I hope I can make it through.

To me, Education isn't all about money.
In fact, it has nothing to do with the price you pay.
It's about the amount of hard work you put in, to achieve the final result.
I have always believe in that.
But the hobby of these people are to boast about how much they can afford and how great they are.
How can they even boast if it wasn't theirs to earn in the first place?

It is true.
I can't linger around the expensive cafes, ordering overpriced beverages with a group of avid money-spending friends.
Because i can do so much more with that $10 than to drink a cup of coffee alongside a slice of cake.
Cooking my family a reasonably filling meal would cost me way less than that cup of coffee.
That is why I just couldn't find a reason to gulp down the coffee.
My purpose of studying abroad was to learn things i never could under my parent's care.
And at this rate, I would definitely benefit a lot more than you guys could at the end of the day.

You can call me cheap, i don't mind.
Atleast i have learnt ways to curb my spendings by the time i am back home.
You, on the other hand, will always be the most close-minded, spoilt, jealous and self-praising brat i have ever met.
After all, it is not you I am trying to please.
It's my parents.
And heck, I am damn sure they are.

For your information,
I don't even like coffees.

There is this girl who loves pancake.
Her family moved from Taiwan to Malaysia for working purpose.
And they sent her abroad after receiving years of Malaysian education.

And i felt displeased.
Is this what you give in return after years of being dependent on the country's economy?

She said,
"No offence, but why do Malaysia police suck so bad?"

Well, why are you condemning the Ringgits you are using to eat your pancakes?

i am bored.

And because i woke up at 7AM to rush to class
which brings me to my third point,
i am tired.

My fourth point is that my phone was stolen and
this is the phone i will be using for quite a while.

Words cannot describe how stupid are the people here.
If only there is one perfect word to sum them up.

For example,
There are 2 telecommunication company, T and O.
O provides much faster internet speed with unlimited calls to everyone,
whereas, T is slow and expensive,
Netherless, they will still choose T and reject people who tries to offer O.
Their method of rejection?
"Get out!", slams door at your face plus numerous foul language.
Why?
Simply because T is a local brand and O is an international brand.

Dear students who are keen on studying abroad,
be prepared.
People here are far more shallow, uneducated, and haughty than you can ever imagine.
If you think you can adapt their 'wonderful' cultures,
forget it.
Theres nothing wonderful about them.

Oh yea, did i mention,
in advertisements, they include phrases such as "A********n made",
to attract more customers.
Think you're too good to use products made elsewhere?
Good luck with that.

Fragile

Love is so.. fragile.

Once it've been broken,
its' impossible to form another perfect replica of the original one,
using merely the shattered pieces.
Because now,
there are flaws, cracks, and definitely some missing pieces.

Each time it breaks,
the crack would only grow deeper and you'd lose more pieces.
And eventually,
what its left is nolonger strong enough to hold things together.
I guess, that is when everything starts to fall apart.

And when that day comes,
theres nothing much you can do.
Because you knew,
it was never really meant to be.

The Ugly Truth

True enough,
being away from home had open my eyes to the real world.
The world that was supposedly more beautiful,
is infact nothing but an ugly lie.
All in all, it made me love my country even more.

I could finally understand why they forced the moral 'nilai' down our throats,
beginning from primary education, all the way to high school.
Cause believe it or not,
there are vast difference between individual who did studied moral and those who didn't.
Somehow, nomatter how much we tried to convince ourselves that all those education did no good but kill our brain cells,
it did, indirectly changed us, in one way or another.
At the very least,
we knew how to use "Excuse me", "Thank you" and "Sorry".

Like any other native Malaysians,
i used to think that people from developed countries are generally more civilized.
I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but turns out, this is all just a myth.

Teenagers back home won't dress in skimpy clothings during winter, and hang around the city during school nights to 'meet new people'.
Shoppers back home realize the importance of queiung and won't intentionally walk right infront of you and cut your queue. (I experience this almost all the time)
Adults back home work hard to earn a living and are not too content with their life and thereby strive to achieve more, rather then, waiting to be fed by the governments.
Needless to say, drivers back home are considerably wayyy more 'kind' on the road.
Last but not the least, we don't self-proclaim ourselves to be anti-discriminatory but generally classify all Asian-looking international students to be stupid.
Hypocrites.

Damn. I really do miss Malaysia.

The worse 9 days of my life.

Finally, the long awaited post that could possibly answer all the questions you have in mind.
What exactly happened approximately a month ago?
Here is the answer.

One day, i was waking up in a nice apartment in the city.

The next thing i know, i was homeless.

Literally homeless.

The very unreasonable landlord informed us regarding the evacuation at 7pm.

The problem was, we were asked to leave by mid-day tomorrow.

That's when our homeless journey started.

Each day, striving to find a new place to stay and worrying where we would be sleeping at night.

Our first 2 nights were spent bunking over at a friend's place, Felix.
Had to move all our luggages and furnitures to his place.
Whole process lasted till 4AM.
6 people were squashed into 1 tiny room.

During the day, we would wander around with no where to go to.

For the 3rd and 4th day, we had to move out from Felix's place.

This time we bunk at another friend's place for the next 2 nights.

We rented a store at Space Storage to temporarily keep our luggages.

That's when we start moving from one place to another like backpackers.

Carrying only our neccesities in our backpack,

not knowing where we will end up next.

Since my brother and William were having exams throughout that week,

most of the time i was hanging around the school's library aimlessly.

For the next 3 nights, we bunked at our very hospitality Malaysian friend.

This is Anna.

And this is Arisha.

They even cooked us a farewell dinner before we left.

We spent our last 2 nights, at a backpackers hotel.

It was certainly not a very pleasant experience but it was better than sleeping on the streets.

Had my college orientation on the 8th day of being homeless.

Day 9, last day of being homeless.

Heading over to our new home.

Managed to catch a snapshot on how our 'backpack' looked like during our homeless journey.

It was crazy heavy, i tell you!

Throughout the 9days of being homeless,

there have been fights and disappointments that caused strain in our relationships with one another.

It was like being at the top and all of the sudden,

you're at the bottom.

Wayyy bottom, that everytime you try to get up,

it only results in falling lower than before.

The worse thing is that it goes on and on.

We're now still trying to get back to where we were before.

It may be hard, but we won't stop trying.

I've got all the pictures and things to say ready but unfortunately, there isn't any internet connection over at my new place.
We've sent in our application and everything already so hopefully things go smoothly and i can blog again soon.

These few days have been a big.. wake up call.
Everything happened so fast that we barely had time to think of what to do next, or what exactly are we doing.
It's one of those days where everything goes wrong,
and every time you come up with a solution for that particular problem,
something else pops up and you have to start all over again,
from square one.
Except this time it's not just one day.
It've been going on for 4 consecutive days now.
And it's driving everyone nuts.

Sadly, this is not one of those problems where you can run to your parents and ask for help.
Well, you can, but that would only freak them out and they would ask you to come home immediately.
But i have come so far and to give everything up now is a really big waste.
All i can do now is endure and have patience.
Tomorrow will be a better day, right?

I'm sorry for having to leave you guys in curiosity, as for now.
It's just that, things are too unsettled..
I promise to make a long blog post about this,
when this immensely unpleasant episode of my life is finally solved.
Lets hope that will be in 1 or 2 days time. Finger crosses.

Growing up, i've always believed in the saying,
if you do good to the others, others would do the same back to you,
And vice versa.

Imagine the disappointment i felt upon realizing that,
the moral i'd been trying to live up to, all these while, turned out to be complete and utter bullshit.
Seeing innoccent people being accused,
losing their jobs, and yet couldn't do anything to fight against all those accusation,
tore me apart, inside and out.
Instead, the innocent's story had to come to an end, right there and then,
whereas the accuser, continue living like 'kings', simply because, well, they are the boss.
Unsatisfied with the decisions, i rant "Why didn't you guys fought back and stood up for yourselves?", eventhough deep down, i knew it was impossible to do so,
since it would only result in receiving an additional 'good' news,
in a form of a lawsuit.

I loathe this feeling.
The feeling of being so vulnerable.
Of knowing you are right, and yet theres nothing you can do to make things better.

Maybe i shouldn't have left so early.
Maybe i should've stuck to my parents a little longer.
Atleast with them, the world didn't seem as ugly as it is now.

Somewhere only we know.

A month ago from today,
i didn't feel what i just felt when the familiar sight of "Mummy calling"
popped up on the screen of my phone.
Back then, i couldn't help but to admit that there were slight trace of annoyance,
everytime i hear that tone of my phone ringing. Sadly.
Sometimes, the phone call will be of something important.
But most of the time, it was for a very silly reason.
Like gossip or a joke she just read from the newspaper.

But today, it was a simple "How are you?"
And yet, it made tears welled up in my eyes.
Listening to her voice, with my dad, adding 'salt & vinegar' behind her,
reminded me of the house i grew up in for the past 8 years, the food my mum used to cook for me, my room, my family, and everyone i've been missing.

"Are you used to the surroundings yet? Where do you prefer?" my mum asked.
"Used to it already lahhhh. I prefer Malaysia." i replied.
"Malaysia ah? How? You have a long time more to go, you know?" She added.
"Yaaaa, 5 years"

5 years.

And i know, throughout these years, everytime i feel this cold,
they would be the first thing to cross my mind.
Firstly, i would remember my mum urging me to put on some extra layers of clothing.
Then, i'll remember my dad, still feeling cold after his layers of thermo and thick sweaters.
Last but not the least, the mischievous Justin, urgueing with my mum, because he refuses to put on his thick jacket.

All i really wanted to do, was make you proud.

On the other hand, due to some issues with my student visa,

This time, to the first week of May.

Seems as though we'd been sharing the same life all these while,

that was when we started living on our own.

Finally met up and spent some quality time together with my sillies (:
Missed them so much that i literally ran up to them and gave them a big hug, when they showed up one by one.
This time, i was the earliest, great improvement huh?
Feels like we're back in highschool, all over again.
Back then, when we used to have sleepovers quite often.
And ofcourse, our main motive this time was to celebrate Esther's birthday.

Thoughts on Turkey

When i was travelling on the bus in Turkey,
I had plenty of time to think of how to blog about this trip.
I kept thinking how this would definitely be the longest post I've ever wrote.
Knowing me, i did not do so after i was back home, till now atleast.
Lazy bum bum!
So this is a post dedicated to all the readers out there,
A post to summarize my entire trip (:

This is my first view of the beautiful country, after i touched-down from the 11hours plane ride.

We were all exhausted due to the 6 hours time difference,

but this was one of the view that made our eyes went 0.0

Many Turkish relied on the public transport to get from one place to another, especially those living in Istanbul

And hence, fresh air gurrenteed!

Unlike many places where you'd see vendors all over the street selling snacks like Pisang Goreng and Currypuff,

In Turkey, this is their snack, the Sesame bread. Something like our Nasi Lemak,

they can have it for breakfast, lunch and even dinner.

Theres only one word to sum out the life of the animals in Turkey.

Lucky.

Turkish love cats and even dogs, despite being an Islamic country.

Animals there are atleast three-times the size of a typical one we see here in Malaysia.

You can see Turkish feeding and petting these animals all over.

Apparently the goverment even had to put up signs in parks stating

"Please do not over-feed the animals."

Another thing about Turkey is that almost all the historical monument we learn through our Form 5 Sejarah textbook are originated from this land itself.

From the Hieropolis to the Aqueduct.
This photo for instance, is taken from the inside of the infamous Blue Mosque.

A typical Turkish meal consist of their speciality soup (the same soup they drink for breakfast, lunch and dinner), salad, appetizer, main course and dessert.

It may sound fine, but really after the first few days, you'll feel the fear of seeing them, even before walking into the restaurant.

The pic above is my first and also the best meal i've had throughout my entire trip.

This is the view of the Golden Horn.

Turkey is a huge land and 3% of it is in the Europe region whereas the remainder 97% of it is in the Asia region.

It's pretty cool especially for those working in the main city of Istanbul, to cross over to Europe to work and back again to Asia to come home, don't you think?

Winter in Turkey is really different.

In most country, it would usually be gloomy but over there it's sunny all day round.

The sun sets at around 4-5pm and by 6, everywhere is pitch black.

Unlike Malaysia where the roads all over are lighted,

in Turkey, after you leave Istanbul, you'd barely see any lamp post along the way.

Most of the time, we drive in the dark.

To reach one place to another, you are required to travel on the bus for atleast 6 hours a day.

I probably spent more time on the bus compared to the time i spent walking.

But still, everytime you reach your destination, you'd know all the

bum and back ache is definitely worth it.

This for instance, is the breath-taking view of Cappadoccia.

I would say the main highlight of the entire trip would be Cappadoccia.

When you're there it's like you're on another planet.

This is one of the most beautiful valley in the world, other than the Grand Canyon.

The theater

This is one of the main shopping area is Istanbul, mostly for tourist.
With more than 20 entrances and 4000 shoplots, you're likely to get lost in there.
They accept Lyra, US Dollars and even Euros in certain places.
1Lyra is about RM2.50 to RM3.00, so the things there are pretty expensive.

I would definitely recommend Turkey if you can stand the long bus ride.

I'd go back again, if i have a chance.

Many have been wondering if i've disappeared,
well, this is something to re-confirm that
I'm pretty much still here (:
Just been rather innactive lately i guess, tech' wise.

Went out and got myself some movies.
To my delight, i found Norbit, by Eddie Murphy!
I was so excited and bought it on the spot.
I remembered watching it in the cinema approximately 4 years ago,
and laughed so hard i almost burst into tears.
My dad saw the excitement pasted on my face and said,

"It may be funny when you watched it last time, don't put your hopes too up-high this time round."

And clearly, he was right.
This time round, i didn't laugh. At all.
Things you found funny last time, may not seem funny anymore now.
Time changes everything, don't they?
Thats sad.

After this, you're probably gonna experience another disappearance.
And when that happens, don't worry, i'm fine.
I'll be back once in awhile.
I just need to get away a little while.
I seemed very lost lately, i need to find something i've been missing.
I miss that part of me.
And now it's gone.

To most you, highschool may have ended a tad bit earlier.
To me, despite the graduation, farewell, prom and everything else,
I've always felt that highschool will only end after my last paper,
that is tomorrow.

I've never really spoken much bout my thoughts on highschool.
Well, you had no idea how much i dread to leave throughout my first few years in WMS.
I pleaded, i tried and i cried.
And well, obviously, they all turn out in no vail.
My parents insisted i stayed, and after form 3, i eventually gave in.

I've always imagined how it'll be like to finally be able to leave.
Will i cry? Will i scream? Will i run around the corridor?
Now that it is finally here,
i find myself asking, "So... now what?"
We all go on with life, ofcourse, but this time,
on our own.

Throughout my years in WMS, I've met some of the most amazing individuals.
Some, i'm lucky to even call my friend, what more, best friends.
They are my motivation to work harder,
though sometimes, they do make me feel extremely disappointed at myself,
knowing i can never be like them.
Netherless, i love you guys.
You know who you are (:

I am someone who is suffering from difficulty in making choices.
In short, i'm extremely indecisive.
The reason why i prefer going to restaurants than foodcourt is cause i can't seem to make up my mind on what i want to eat.
I'll end up strolling up and down for a very long time and pick something rather insignificant, such as, rice and curry.
The other example is, how my everytime i randomly shade an answer for my objective paper,
it'll always turn out to be the wrong one.

And now, i am pressured to make one of the most important decisions for the next chapter of my life,
college.
On good days,
I'll imagine how great things would be when i'm in Brisbane's, Queensland University of Technology.
How I've got everything there for me, plus, my parents wants me there with my brother.
On bad days however (such as today),
I start to think of how there are other better choices out there and why i'm crossing all of that out,
I should try applying for LSE, shouldn't i, since it's a good business school.

Sigh.
Am i really doing the right thing?
Is this what i really want?
Give me a sign!

Well, didn't manage to snap as much pictures as i thought i would.
Only, three in this post.
Had our family reunion lunch at Equatorial Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
It tasted better compared to Shangri-La Hotel's Lemon Garden.
However, do note that the food they serve are typical Malaysian cuisine you can find anywhere by the road side, but served in a much more hygienic environment.
Whereas, the food in Shangri-La's provides a wide range of choices for food lovers.

It was my first time listening to the song.
Eventhough there was only the sound of the piano,
I could feel the lyrics and what the song really meant, playing in my head.
It symbolizes everything, from how it all started, to the little times spent together and everything else in between.
It's a beautiful song and i was so touched, i listened to the song, which rightfully doesn't belong to me, over and over again.

From the smallest sign, to the biggest one,
everything eventually leads me to where i should really be.

Tomorrow is going to be the busiest day of the year for the shop.
Been asked to help out since everything is probably gonna be insanely hectic.
Eventhough our operating hour only starts at 9PM,
tons will be lingering outside the store with their hands grasping on the trolley and their eyes watching out every move in the store.
Once the grill is opened, everyone will gush in and practically grap everything they can see.
It's a pretty hilarious scene, i should probably record it or something. :D

It is something everyone and anyone can do for various reasons,
but it is just the matter of how many would be willing to do it.
Nomatter how big the sacrifices may be,
at the end of the day,
whats most important is if it helped,
if it changed someone's life for the better,
and finally, if it carved a smile on the face of people you love.

For me, it did.
And i am glad, cause it made them happy.

Just a few moment after updating my "I heart Malaysia" post,
I came across this note on Facebook with really triggered my anger.
Note that i copied and paste the below story from the writer's Facebook profile.
Please read on as it may help. Thank you!

"The typical Merdeka Eve night started with an urge to watch the fireworks celebration in KLCC ended up in a racist attack by a group of teenagers. So, me and a friend of mine thought of a good solution to avoid the traffic jam in that area by walking from the office in Jalan Imbi through Pavillion, to Jalan Kia Peng through Convention Center to KLCC.
Sounds like an ideal plan as the path is a frequent walkway and is even advertised in Pavillion as 'Bridge to KLCC'. (Just to note that we didnt go into any dark alley)

At 10.15pm, we started walking towards Pavillion, stopped to get a drink at Starbucks and proceeded ahead. As we walk, we came across people from various races and foreign tourists along the way.

On Jalan Kia Peng, we walked past Novotel Hotel, Hakka Restaurant, Menara HLA and was reaching the junction of Jalan Pinang when a group of about 10 teenage Malay youngsters walking from the opposite direction. They looked like typical youths, giggling and talking to each other.

As we walked past them, suddenly one of them turned around and started to make a flying kick to my friend. Noticing the 'fun' he is having, his other friends started to do the same to me. It was so sudden and all I was thinking at the moment was, "What the hell did we do to them?"

Both of us ended up kneeling on the ground for a moment before more kicks and punches came flying in. Even though both of us had our tripod strapped across our shoulder, we were too shocked to react to it. Eventually one punch landed right on my right forehead and I started to bleed profusely. Seeing that they eventually stopped and walked away.WALKED AWAY, damn it. They were not even afraid to run but just WALKED AWAY like winning a game or something.The last thing I remember hearing from one of them was "Baliklah ke negara asal"
Imagine hearing this statement on Merdeka Eve.

I knew I was bleeding but I didnt know how bad. I could feel the right side of my head swollen and wet but I did not try to look at myself through a mirror. My friend also suffered bruises on the body and face. By that time there were more people walking around us but they did not stop to see what was wrong. I don't blame them, it was a poorly lit area just in front of Menara Pinang. We recovered and continued walking towards the Convention Center. The guards were symphatetic to let us in to use the washroom to clean up. It was then I saw my bloody face.

I did not take a picture of myself then as it is not my intention to send a horror message. This is not a message of sympathy. It's a account of a random person walking on a street.
Eventually after cleaning up, we walked back to the Police Booth in Pavillion to relate the incident. The response from the officer: "This cannot happen, we have all our men on the streets" (Well, not on the street we got beaten up ...)

Apparently informing the police booth stationed in a public area is NOT MAKING A POLICE REPORT. WTF? Apparently we have to go to a Hospital, get some treatment and make a complain/report at the police counter there. I would be dead by then, ain't I?

Is this how the police maintained that they have improved street crimes? By not noting down petty crimes like gang bang which did not result into hospitalization? Would we be taken seriously if only we landed in the hospital?

What we did was, we went back to the office, rested til this morning, went to a nearby clinic to get some bandages and medic.What else to do? I can't identify my assailants, and my wounds are not death-threatening.

If I had not wanted to celebrate Independence Day, would I walk or drive to the venue?
If I was not thirsty would I stop for 5 mins to get my drink and missed them completely?
If I had held my tripod as a defensive weapon earlier, would I save myself or get more beating instead?
If I'm not Chinese, would I get the same 'treatment'?

All I want to say in the end is ...
Forward this to your friends (so that they will be careful on the streets)
Forward this to your 'friendly police' (so that they know the procedure is wrong)
Forward this to any politician/newspaper (so that he/she can be the champion for highlighting this to the government)"

I remember when i was little and lived in a condo, on top of a hill,
I would look outside my balcony,
and see all my neighbours hanging Jalur Gemilang outside their unit.
Often, i would ask my parents, why didn't we have one,
and they would reply... well, i forgotten what they said but yea, they didn't really answered my question.
And 7 years after we moved,
i see the spark of Merdeka day fading every year,
and all thats' left of it now, is but a flicker of light.
When my dad drove me home from school today, i looked around and saw not even one house with a Malaysia flag.
Including my own, sadly. Somehow my parents have this issue with flags outside our home.
Hard to believe our National day is tomorrow, well actually it's in about precisely 6minutes,
I don't feel the gush of enthusiasm and excitement anymore :x

Trials.

Been revising and Sejarah is killing me.
Have yet started with Economics and I've only one day left,
plus, i am in a lazy mood the whole of today.
I feel extremely unproductive!
Sighh.

Ohh, i hear fireworks from a distance, Happy Merdeka Day, Malaysians :D

I was fulfilling my guilty pleasure of watching the tv,

I reached out for it and held it in my hand.

Update on my rather unplanned trip to Melaka.
Most of the lower secondary choir member took part in this trip.
Only Hang Yu and i represented the upper secondary.
This trip have indeed been very different from all other school trips.
I had a great time making new friends and simply catching up on things (:

I was sooo amazed with Shervonne's antena handphone!

Famine this year was themed "Light up their lives",
aimed to help children living in poverty.

Went over to Esther's to sleepover the day before famine.

All of us squashed ourselves into a tiny car.

I was asked to sit in the front seat for some annoying reasons, made to tease me, obviously.

Laughed our heads off.

Seow Wei and Lik Sheng join us later on to have dinner.

After dinner, it was movie time!

Being a sister is hard.
Being a good sister is even harder.

I remember the day my mum told me i was gonna have a younger brother,
I starting jumping and screaming and was so excited.
I remember how my brother and i waited anxiously at home,
as dad was accompanying mum in the hospital for her delivery.
I remember the first day i saw him when he came home,
how i told myself, this is the one thing i am going to protect from absolutely everything.
I remember the day i could no longer carry him like i used to,
that was when i realized how things will never be the same again.
I remember being present for every concert and prize giving ceremony,
and cryin silently behind because i was so proud of him.

However, i find it hard to remember, the day i stopped talking to him like i used to,
because i believe, that was the day he broke my heart for the hundredth time.
Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one that did.
No one seemed to realize what he did though, no one ever does.
How did this little treasure of mine grew so big, so fast, and so different from what i hoped his attitude would be?
Keeps me wondering, where did i do wrong?

Too many things can happen in one day.
It's sometimes just too much.

I can never share a life with others,

because i never seem solve mine.

I finally understand things i never did, before this.
I've always question his drastic decision and reckless actions,
not knowing the true reason behind everything.
Guessing the conclusion based on what i think it should be,
thinking things are hard for me.
Truth is, things are ten times worse for him,
since he is the one that had to go through everything.
Telling us weren't an option, but a 'suicidal' act to his ego and all. You know.

NATD exam turned out fine i guess.

Though i'm pretty sure i screwed up my samba, but nevermind.

It's over, for now atleast.

Had our annual ice-cream venture with Esther, Melissa, Eman and Ifran later that night.

Drove all the way to Westin and turns out, the ice-cream bar operating hour is from 10AM to 10PM. ( It wasn't like that last year)

Eman then drove us all to grab an ice-cream each at the Shell petrol station.

We had to choose our ice-cream from the store's window since no one was allowed in after

10PM, for safety purposes (:

Drove back to our dance school and stayed in the car as we talked and finish up our ice-cream. Ice-cream night turned out pretty great after all. Got us all feelin' nolstalgic actually. Bonded and realized how much things have changed, in such a short period of time. We all did, in one way or another. Made me realize how much i miss my dance partner, we all do. How he makes all of us laugh at everything, that Mr.Henry had to calm us down by giving us the stare. And how he is always there to calm me down when i'm struck with panic attack before exam and the medalist competition.

Sighh.

Moving on, had badminton training with Laura, Yen Wen and Maxine yesterday. Had an awesome time! The training was great and the laughs were priceless :D Credits to Laura darling for the amazing court.

I felt it, and i hate it.

But one day, you neglected your responsibility and it fell right off.
I broke it and it seems impossible to redeem it back.

My family held a dinner party at Tycoon KL, to celebrate my brother's return before he heads back to Queensland.
We were having fun and my uncle was singing Justin Lo's song in the karaoke.

Then the manager, who happened to be standing there at that time told us that the singer (Justin Lo) was eating next door.

Well, i guess we all thought she was joking at that time so we didn't care much.

She had to repeat a few times before we realized that she weren't joking.

Immediately, everyone dashed out the room and the my cousins started peeking outside his room.

He saw the kids and rushed out to greet them.

He has this amazing personality, a really friendly and nice person even though he is a famous Hongkong singer.

And ofcourse, some picture moments <3

After some pictures, we went back to our room since crowds were forming around us.

Halfway through our dinner he came and called my younger cousins out to play mini soccer with him.

Ohhhh and yes, he is good looking alright.

But he's very much shorter than me (:

I took pictures with him but i'm not gonna post em up.

For my personal memory. Heee.

Decided to update my blog,

since i am not allowed to do anything else :(

Annoying images of the moral folio keeps popping up in my head though. Argh.

I shall put that aside for now, till tomorrow, at least.

The thing is..

I've been struggling with something which i thought were completely harmless or fairly minor.

Turns out, i underestimated the supposedly "morning-sickness", all long.

I finally gave in and consulted a doctor, along side my parents, after this morning's incident.

We were shocked when we were sent to see a Neurologist.

Went for brain scans and blood test,

And yea, you know what happened next.

I have nice brain (:

I am not diagnosed with cancer, tumor or anything such.

Don't worry, nothing as major as those.

Gotta stay happy though, so bear with me (:

On a lighter note,

Been staring at this screen for so long, before deciding to type somethings out.

I needed to, i have to.

Maybe cause i missed how things used to be,

and loathe the way things turned out now.

The day i got Sunnytwin, i spent some time looking at what was supposed to be, a close resemblance of myself.

From the tiny eyes, to the huge grin, and finally, the red heart which contrast against her orange fur.

Then it hit me that her heart looked as though it was broken into two.

Infact, it was.

No matter how hard you've tried to put things back, bit by bit, it's just no longer the same as how it should have been, before.

But one thing for sure, i am healed.

I can tell you frankly,

Those part where my heart does sumersault or even when i forget to breath, no longer exist.

Cause now, upon sight, i feel nothing.

I can never be the person you hoped i would turn out to be in the end.

Cause i know, i can never bare the responsibility of keeping Reddishtwin's heart and not break it.

And i know, deep down, you know that too.

Perhaps i don't deserve to be Sunnytwin.

After all, i'm no mind reader.

First and foremost, a very big thank you, to those who wished me today (:

Through facebook, texts, emails, calls, and everything else,

the biggest thank you i can ever give. Literally.

And to the ones who actually made an effort to call,

i assure you, that really meant a lot.

Went out with my darlings yesterday.

Just a very casual outing, which the dress code was, everyone should make an effort to dress up.

And they did (:

For once, no one was allowed to go against my choice of movies, which they usually do.

So ofcourse, i took the opportunity to pick everyones favourite movie. Horror. Hee (:

Got the tickets pretty late so the best we could get was 2nd row, from the bottom.

Even better.

Once i settled down in my seat, in between Esther and Seow Wei, i took out my hoody and practically covered my entire face through out the whole movie.

My arm was sore, but i guess it was worth it.

It was hilarious watching everyone of us cringing our seats, our mouth wide open.

Okay fine, i unintentionally screamed twice, which made us all burst into laughter :D

The horror flick ended with an extremely twisted ending.

Which led us in spending the next 30minutes, discussing/debating regarding the ending of the movie, which none of us understood.

Went for dinner at this restaurant beside TGI and spent the next 2 hours talking non-stop.

Amazing how we never seem to run out of topic (:

We parted ways and i went for another movie with my family after that.

After movie, my family and i went for supper, in a restaurant somewhere round Petaling Street.

That was when the worst thing happened.

After supper, we went back to our car and the car wouldn't start.

Apparently, something went wrong with the car battery.

The whole street was very much empty and we were stranded.

That was how spent my birthday, waiting in 7eleven.

It's past midnight and i didn't realize the people walking in and out of the store till one point where my mum signal me to come out from the store.

She then pointed out that the man that just went in the store had a knife hidden neatly under the sheets of newspaper, folded beneath his arm.

Somehow, something in me told me to go and stay in the car.

Immediately head to the car and turns out, the man with the knife rushed and followed behind me.

My father who was seated at the passenger seat, stood up from his his as i hop in the back of the car.

True enough, the man stopped his pace, on the spot and immediately headed elsewhere.

I was this close, who knew what could have happen if something went completely wrong.

I shudder at the thought of it ):

Bangkok trip

Home alas! :D

Heres the much awaited post on my recent trip to Bangkok.

I've received tons of good reviews from the people who have been there before, frankly, it didn't quite live up to my expectations.

One of the main reasons is due to the extreme weather condition.

The temperature there stays above 40 degrees, day and night, no joke. Imagine the heat!

The highlight of the trip was probably being surrounded by the "Red-shirt army" in the town of Bangkok.

That was fun and different, no doubt (:

And now, some pictures.

Firstly, i strongly disagree with this statement.

The people in the city of Bangkok is horrible. Hands down ):

My bus was probably the only tourist bus left in Bangkok.

Seriously. All the other tourist fled to Pattaya.

Apparently we were the only ones brave enough to venture into the supposingly chaotic town.

Worry not, there were police trucks everywhere to ensure the safety of their people.

Surprisingly, the "Red-shirt army" weren't as violent as described by our local newspaper.

They were waving at us all the way

One thing for sure, they were everywhere.

My first ever philanthropy turned out pretty well yesterday.

Never thought I'd gain so much from them, but believe me, i did.

Their heart-wrenching stories, the kind gestures, and everything else was just really over-whelming.

Even though their home was definitely too small for them to even move around comfortably, they never hover.

Everytime i asked, they assured us that they were treated really well there.

My old folk's name was Tan Po and she's 96 this year.

I was really impressed by her good memory.

She told me all about her, how she married her husband in an arranged-marriage at the age of 16 and how she came to Malaya, way back then.

I couldn't stop smiling seeing how enthusiastic she was in her story.

One thing for sure, being with her family was her top priority.

She kept telling me about her grandchildren and great grandchildren, how she used to be their care-taker and how they loved her cooking.

I wish i could record everything she said and show it to her family so they would do something about it,

but at the same time i knew there was nothing i could do but just be her good listener..

She taught me so much that day, that's something i'll never forget.

Now, on a brighter note,

I sound so depressing.

Hahah x)

Todays your big day Laura darling.

You're finally seventeen and like what i kept repeating for the past hours,

you're old.

Or atleast, older than i am (:

I still remember when we first came into WMS,

I was the sad person seating alone upfront, while you were seated all the way at far left.

Then dear Mr Chiang came up with this suggestion that we draw lots which would determine our next siting position.

Surprisingly, I got 27 and you got 28.

Esther and Deborah got 25 and 26 respectively, so i guess that was how everything started.

That was how we all came together, or more like, i joined in (:

Excluding form 2, we've been siting together for 4 years now.

And you have been so much more than a bestfriend to me.

Remember how you always complained about the way i dress back then when we were in form 1 and 2?

You're probably the reason why i nolonger dress like that, so i should thank you for all that constructive criticism :D

You're like a shield, always trying to protect me from everything that is bad,

You're always there to urge me to sleep when i'm on MSN till late at night,

Constantly nagging me about spending ( I still don't think i spend that much ) =.=

Write "Stop facebooking" on my wall when you know i'm supposed to be studying.

Give me much needed hugs whenever you see me stressing out.

Listen to all my problems although your only comment would be a monotonous "ohh."

And finally, allowing me to be the first person you'd call and scream over the phone whenever something really happy happened to you or you found something really amusing.

I should say, i'm really honoured (:

I hope you'll remember the promise we made,

on how we'll be each other's bridesmaid when we get married! :D
